FAQs

Parents,

We are here to walk along side you and partner with you in your student's journey with Christ. If there is anything we can do, please feel free to contact us at 469-9111 or students@crosspointe.org. We hope the following FAQ section will at least be a helpful start

Why are we changing?

High School Sunday Morning
Our High School worship gathering will take place Sunday mornings with the Crosspointe community during the 11:45am service. We will sit & worship together in the front center section of the auditorium. In additon on the second Sunday evening a month, we will have a large group high school worship service called "Catalyst." It will be programed to have dynamic worship and biblical teaching it has had on Sunday mornings. This opens up Sunday mornings for equipping students to serve Christ and His church. Our hope is that this increases student ownership in our ministry, as well as helps develop fully devoted followers of Christ who are passionate about service.

Middle School Sunday Morning
Every Sunday morning, we have more new students coming to our middle school service than any other time. We desperately want to connect them in the larger group setting while maintaining focus in small groups. Therefore, we have moved the "Edge" program to the 10:15am service and it will contain energetic worship and teaching for middle school students.

How will we reach new students on Sunday mornings? Can my teen bring a friend?

We are committed to connecting new students to our community. For Middle School students "Edge", the Middle School worship service, is a perfect place to bring a friend. For High School students there will be an intentional pathway on Sunday mornings for new students to be greeted and introduced to our Student Ministry. In addition outside of Sunday mornings we will have events and trips that students can invite friends to come to.

How do I get my student in a Life Group?

Our goal is to see students in a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ AND with each other. We feel this best takes place in the context of Life Groups. If you're interested or would like for your son/daughter to be a part of doing life together with others contact us at: students@crosspointe.org and we'll get them plugged in!

How do I get my student involved in serving?

First, we encourage you to talk to your son/daughter about the importance of serving both in and out of the church. We believe that serving is essential for spiritual growth. We hope that, through serving, students will own the mission of our church, learn more about who God has created them to be, and experience the transformation that can only come through serving and loving others. To get connected to an area of service, send an email to students@crosspointe.org with “serving” in the subject line or fill out a Strategic Service Card at the Student Info Desk.

How can I receive the latest information on what's going on in student ministry?

The best way to be in the "know" is to sign up to receive our student ministry e-news, you can do that by clicking here and in the subject line write: SUBSCRIBE. You can also follow Eddie's Blog (Student Pastor) and it will have up-to-date info about the happenings of Turningpointe.

Where can I get the Turningpointe Release form that is needed for all student trips?
